MEET CINDY

Therapist Wake Forest NC

For 17 years, I've walked alongside children, adults, couples, and families through some of life's hardest moments. I started as a school social worker, where I learned something I'll never forget: when one person struggles, the whole family feels it. And when one person begins to heal, that healing ripples outward.

That journey led me to deepen my work in trauma-informed care through specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EFT Tapping, mindfulness, and somatic therapy, integrating these approaches alongside traditional psychotherapy.

I believe true healing happens when we reconnect with ourselves—mind, body, and spirit. By addressing the lasting impact of trauma and supporting nervous system regulation, my goal is to help clients move beyond survival, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Whether you're carrying the weight of past experiences, navigating anxiety, struggling in your relationships, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, my goal is the same: to create a space where you feel seen, safe, and understood.

I believe you already have what it takes to heal. Sometimes, we just need someone to help us find our way back to ourselves.

It would be an honor to walk that path with you.

When I'm not in session, you'll usually find me on the lake, out on the boat, or traveling with family and friends. At home, I love working in my yard, gardening, and creating spaces that feel peaceful and inviting.

I'm deeply committed to my own growth because I believe I can't ask my clients to do work that I'm not willing to do myself. I believe the best therapists never stop learning not only through continuing education, but through their own healing and self-reflection. That commitment allows me to show up with authenticity, compassion, and presence, creating a space where my clients feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood.

I believe healing isn't about becoming someone different, it's about coming home to yourself. It's something we cultivate every day through self-awareness, meaningful relationships, and creating a life that feels grounded, connected, and true to who we are.
