22. Telehealth and Virtual Services
Pathways to Holistic Healing Therapy & Wellness Services, PLLC is based in Wake
Forest, North Carolina and may provide telehealth/virtual mental health services to
eligible clients located in North Carolina, New York, and South Carolina, subject to
applicable professional licensing laws and regulations.
Telehealth services are provided only when the treating clinician is appropriately
licensed or otherwise legally authorized to provide professional services in the state
where the client is physically located at the time services are provided.
Clients receiving telehealth services may be required to confirm their physical location
at the beginning of each virtual appointment. Clients are responsible for informing their
clinician if they are physically located in a different state or jurisdiction at the time of an
appointment.
Availability of telehealth services may depend on clinician licensure, the client’s physical
location, clinical appropriateness, applicable state laws and regulations, technology
requirements, and other professional considerations.
Telehealth involves the use of electronic communications and technology. Although
reasonable safeguards are used to protect privacy and confidentiality, electronic
communication may involve risks, including interruptions, unauthorized access,
technical difficulties, or other limitations associated with electronic systems.
Telehealth services are not appropriate for every individual or every situation. The
Practice and treating clinician reserve the right to determine whether telehealth is
clinically appropriate and may recommend in-person care, a different level of care,
emergency services, or another provider when appropriate.
Use of this website or submission of an appointment request does not guarantee
eligibility for telehealth services in any particular state.
23. Location During Telehealth Sessions
For purposes of professional licensing and telehealth requirements, the client’s physical
location at the time of a therapy session may determine which state laws, licensing
requirements, and professional standards apply.
Clients agree to provide accurate information regarding their physical location when
requested and to notify their clinician if their location changes.
The Practice does not represent that its clinicians are authorized to provide professional
services in every state or jurisdiction.
24. Emergencies and Telehealth
Telehealth and website communications are not intended to provide emergency or
crisis-response services.
If an immediate emergency occurs during a telehealth session, the clinician may use
information regarding the client’s current physical location and emergency contact
information to assist in coordinating appropriate emergency support when clinically and
legally necessary.
Website contact forms, email, voicemail, and online appointment requests should not be
used for emergency communications.
25. Professional Licensure and Jurisdiction
Pathways to Holistic Healing Therapy & Wellness Services, PLLC provides professional
mental health services only in jurisdictions where the treating clinician is appropriately
licensed or otherwise legally authorized to practice.
The availability of services in North Carolina, New York, and South Carolina does not
mean that every clinician associated with the Practice is authorized to provide every
service in each state.
Professional services are subject to the laws, regulations, ethical requirements,
licensing-board requirements, and professional standards applicable to the treating
clinician and the jurisdiction in which services are provided.
26. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions relate primarily to the use of the Pathways to Holistic
Healing Therapy & Wellness Services, PLLC website and, to the extent permitted by
applicable law, are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
However, professional mental health and telehealth services may also be subject to
applicable federal law and the laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and
professional standards of the jurisdiction in which the client is physically located at the
time services are provided, including, as applicable, North Carolina, New York, and
South Carolina.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive or restrict any rights,
protections, professional obligations, or requirements that cannot legally be waived or
restricted under applicable law.
27. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or
unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect to the
extent permitted by law.

expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the terms governing use of this website.
Separate agreements, informed consent documents, financial policies, telehealth

applicable to professional services, those provisions may apply independently of these
website Terms & Conditions.
29. Changes to These Terms
